[3:59] <symmcom> Hi all,
[4:00] <symmcom> I created 2 separate Pools for SSD and HDD. SSD=6 osds, HDD=4 osds. But my hypervisor shows the storage size as whole , not seperately for pools.
[4:01] <symmcom> Any way to make these fully seperated with own storage sizes? The problem i am facing is since the clutser shows entire space combined, no ay to tell when SSDs are running out space

[13:28] <LiRul> journal on same disk (raw partition). i don't know why primary osd stops request process have you got any idea what can I do? hdds are mounted with nobarrier, noatime, nodiratime, nodev, nosuid parameters (using xfs)

[16:35] <madkiss> err

[16:36] <loicd> madkiss: yes, it's a long way by foot
[16:36] <madkiss> you could have taken a train or sumting.

[16:55] <abique> by the way I'm starting to setup ceph, but I'd like your advice if it is the right choice for me: I need to store a lot of high quality pictures, to do image processing on them and to serve them through http. I also need to store some videos, maybe smaller than 1Go and just read them one or two times and I do not need to serve them through http. I plane to only use the obj store, and the http api. So do you think that ceph is a good choice for me? Than

[21:00] <udo_> Hi. anybody knows how to delete an incomplete pg?
[21:02] <bens> what do you mean by incomplete
[21:04] <ofu> pg repair did not work?
[21:04] <udo_> during reformat of some osd I got an incomplete pg - the content of the "newer" pg was on the osd, which I srtop and reformat. But in this pg was normaly not written. Now I have content on one osd and an empty dir on the other disk.

[22:41] <JoeGruher> With Firefly would it be possible to set up a single node Ceph deployment with a bunch of drives on the node and do erasure coding across the drives? I know this isn't how you'd usually deploy Ceph or erasure coding, I just wanted to try setting it up. Since the OSDs are separate processes it seems like it should work, unless there is something that prevents erasure coding across OSDs sharing
