[0:25] <sagelap> pushed fix to filestore vs injectargs to master
[0:25] <sagelap> done for now! ttyl
[0:33] <gregaf> yehudasa_: sorry, back now; the drive caches were mid-November or later, not close to Nov 4, though it might be adding to the problem
[0:34] <gregaf> when I looked yesterday I think Chris' for-linus branch had ~8 commits we didn't
[0:34] <gregaf> I was going to build a new kernel once lx0 told me which of his patches we ought to be trying out
[0:34] <yehudasa_> gregaf: yeah, well, we're not sure about the 11/4 date, might be 11/10. In any case the caches were a couple of weeks later

[19:03] <gregaf> fghaas: not really; you should use standby MDSes for those but for the monitors and OSDs you'll want some separate monitoring framework

[20:19] <fghaas> gregaf: any objections to tying this in with Pacemaker for automatic in-place recovery?
[20:20] <gregaf> I'm not familiar with it, but assuming it's a thing that starts up daemons when they fail, not in general
[20:21] <gregaf> if you hit a bug and the OSDs are crashing on startup then it might create a lot of core dumps, is the only thing I can think of
[20:21] <fghaas> http://www.clusterlabs.org ... and yes, it does that (plus a boatload of other stuff)
